In Lachie's first week of kindergarten, he asked me whether he could wear his unform and go to school on Saturday. It made me laugh and I thought it was such a positive sign. It was a sign that in just five days, he felt safe, supported and happy. This is exactly the environment that Wagga Wagga Public School has created. As a parent, one thing in particular which I love is the school's teaching philosophy 'play is the way', where kids develop personal and social capabilities as they take part in fun games and activities. Importantly, I adore the community that surrounds the school. It's not something you can put into words, it's a positive feeling that wraps around you when you enter the school gates. I get a strong sense that Wagga Wagga Public School is a place where kids are challenged, amazed and inspired. It's a place where I know great beginnings are taking shape.

We feel fortunate to be part of the Wagga Wagga Public School community. Having recently joined the school as a new Kindergarten family, we have felt welcomed, supported and included in all aspects of school life. Teachers and support staff have built a positive relationship with our family and have quickly established a strong connection with our child.

The school promotes a love of learning and our child comes home from school eager to share new information and skills. Teachers openly communicate information about school life and learning, and we value the effort the staff go to to offer a broad range of educational, sporting and cultural experiences.
