Testimonials

In Lachie's first week of kindergarten, he asked me whether he could wear his unform and go to school on Saturday. It made me laugh and I thought it was such a positive sign. It was a sign that in just five days, he felt safe, supported and happy. This is exactly the environment that Wagga Wagga Public School has created. As a parent, one thing in particular which I love is the school's teaching philosophy 'play is the way', where kids develop personal and social capabilities as they take part in fun games and activities. Importantly, I adore the community that surrounds the school. It's not something you can put into words, it's a positive feeling that wraps around you when you enter the school gates. I get a strong sense that Wagga Wagga Public School is a place where kids are challenged, amazed and inspired. It's a place where I know great beginnings are taking shape.

- Georgie Davies, parent at WWPS and Deputy Mayor, Wagga Wagga City Council.

We feel fortunate to be part of the Wagga Wagga Public School community. Having recently joined the school as a new Kindergarten family, we have felt welcomed, supported and included in all aspects of school life. Teachers and support staff have built a positive relationship with our family and have quickly established a strong connection with our child.

The school promotes a love of learning and our child comes home from school eager to share new information and skills. Teachers openly communicate information about school life and learning, and we value the effort the staff go to to offer a broad range of educational, sporting and cultural experiences.

We have found that the school is intentional about shaping kind, thoughtful human beings - they emphasise character, community, emotional connection and the environment. WWPS values and virtues are evident in every day interactions, positive school culture, and the connection between staff and families. We are so happy that we have chosen to attend our local public school.

WWPS is an incredibly warm and welcoming community where every person—students, staff, and families—feels valued from the moment they walk through the gate. The culture is supportive, inclusive, and full of genuine care, making it a place where everyone can thrive. It truly feels like a school that celebrates belonging and lifts each other up every day. I would highly recommend WWPS to anyone looking for a positive, nurturing, and community‑minded school. We are incredibly lucky to have a principal, teachers, as well as the admin team who care so deeply about every child’s success and wellbeing.

We are so happy with our experience at Wagga Wagga Public School. The passion and dedication of the staff is evident in every interaction with the teachers. Nada is an incredible principal who clearly takes great pride in her school, which is reflected in the way the school is run each day and in its strong vision for now and in the future. We are so excited to see what the future holds for our kids at this school.
- Jared and Allie Koetz, parents at WWPS

As a parent of Wagga Wagga Public School, I am deeply grateful for the care, quality and commitment that define our school. From the moment our family joined the school community, I have been impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the teachers. They genuinely view each child as an individual with their own strengths, pace, and potential and show an incredible commitment to ensuring they are encouraged and supported to become the best they can be.

Our children, now in Years 4 and 6, have thrived both academically and socially with the school's explicit education on confidence, resilience and compassion. They have been encouraged to seize a diverse range of opportunities across personal academic goals, creative projects, formal and informal leadership opportunities, sporting pursuits. Each achievement is valued, and the belonging they feel as part of the school motivates them to do their best.

What also stands out is the diversity and warmth of the school community. Families from all walks of life come together at WWPS, creating a rich environment where respect, empathy and inclusion are genuine, everyday values. We couldn’t ask for a better foundation for our children’s education and character development.

They say it takes a village to raise a child. Choosing Wagga Wagga Public School to be a part of that village for our children is one of the best decisions we have made in raising ours.
