Each year, we share our progress in the annual school report. It gives families a clear picture of how our school is performing and how we’re supporting every student’s success. The report reflects our commitment to openness, accountability and continuous improvement.

What we’re doing well and where we’re improving
Wagga Wagga Public School excels in fostering a caring, collaborative, and inclusive environment with strong school leadership. As a team, we are focusing on the use of data to inform teaching practice, teacher collaboration, and student wellbeing systems.
Student achievement and academic progress
Students have shown improved literacy and numeracy outcomes through targeted intervention and evidence-based teaching strategies, particularly in early years literacy assessment and our school NAPLAN results. Teacher mentoring and consistent curriculum implementation have contributed to solid academic progress and enhanced student growth.
Our school vision and goals
Our school vision focuses on nurturing confident, resilient, creative, and empathetic learners within a caring and inclusive environment. Our Goals include optimising student learning outcomes, continuing to strengthen teacher quality through collaboration, and fostering a high expectations culture through wellbeing and community connections.
Key highlights and milestones
Key milestones include successful external validation against the School Excellence Framework with many elements rated as sustaining or excelling. Additional support roles and programs, such as EALD specialists, targeted intervention staff, and wellbeing partnerships, have significantly strengthened student support and community engagement.
School excellence plan
Our school excellence plan (SEP) is a working document that shows our priorities in learning, teaching and leading. It explains our focus areas for improvement and how we plan to get there. We write our SEP with help from our school community so it reflects our shared priorities.
School behaviour support and management plan
Our school has a school behaviour support and management plan (SBSMP). The SBSMP helps us create a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment for all students. It sets clear expectations for student behaviour. This includes how we respond to bullying and cyberbullying. We work together with our school community to shape the plan and review it each year.
